Nationally-ranked Bellarmine University shot 61% from the field Friday night in Liberty, downing William Jewell 73-63 in GLVC play at the Mabee Center.

Bellarmine leads Division II men's basketball with a 56% team field goal average.

The second-ranked Knights (9-0, 1-0 in the GLVC) took a double digit lead early on and held the Cardinals at bay throughout the contest, in which Jewell hit only 40% of their field goal attempts

DeVonte Bell had a game-high 22 points for the Cardinals (5-5, 1-1), followed by D'Vante Mosby's 15 points and Dwight Sistrunk's 10.  The Cardinals forced 19 BU turnovers while committing only 11, and hit six of 14 three-point attempts.

Jewell will host #8 Southern Indiana on Sunday afternoon as part of a women's/men's doubleheader starting at 1:00 p.m.
