Playing on a rare Sunday, the Cardinal men's basketball team took on undefeated and #8 ranked Southern Indiana at the Mabee Center in Liberty, dropping an 88-66 decision to the Great Lakes Valley Conference's Screamin' Eagles.

Southern Indiana (10-0, 2-0 in the GLVC) led by 13 at the half and shot 63% for the game, outrebounding Jewell (5-6, 1-1) 45-22.  USI also hit 8-13 three-point shots to Jewell's 8-20, and the Cardinals forced 18 turnovers while giving the ball us just six times themselves.

D'Vante Mosby lead Cardinal scorers with 20 points,and Reath Jiech had 11 on 5-7 shooting.  Dwight Sistrunk, Jr. had nine points, with five assists and three steals.

Jewell plays their next four games on the road, starting next weekend with St. Joseph's College on Thursday night and the University of Indianapolis on Saturday.
