Eric Jackson, has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office Monday.
Jackson, a native of DeSoto, Texas, helped lead the defense with 11 tackles and two sacks in the Cardinals' 21-17 road win at Truman State on Saturday. The defensive output tied teammate
Jimmy DeStefano for the game-high, while his pair of sacks also was a team high. Jackson had five solo hits and six assisted stops in the win.
