The William Jewell College men's soccer team was edged 1-0 by McKendree University in Great Lakes Valley Conference action on Sunday in Liberty, Mo.
After a scoreless first half the Bearcats were able to get on the board to score the only goal of the game at the 62:15 mark when Cassidy Conner shot one in the back of the net off a free kick.
McKendree was able to hold on the rest of the way and improves to 4-8-2 overall and 4-7-1 in the GLVC. Jewell falls to 3-9-3 and 2-7-3 in the GLVC.
The Bearcats dominated the Cardinals in shots with a 20-6 advantage and led 6-1 in shots on goal.

Aaron Froehlich led the Cards with two shots on the afternoon.
William Jewell will continue GLVC play as they host Missouri S&T on Friday, October 24. Kickoff is slated for 2:30 p.m.
