The William Jewell College volleyball team was swept 3-0 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play against University of Wisconsin-Parkside on Sunday in Liberty, Mo. Jewell falls to 3-20 overall and 1-12 in the GLVC while Parkside improves to 14-9 and 7-6 in GLVC action.
The Cards fell by set scores of 26-24, 25-16, 25-15.
The first set went back and forth and Jewell had match point leading 24-23 when the Rangers went on a 3-0 run to close out the set and take momentum with them the rest of the way.
Kaylee Marquardt led the Cards with 10 kills and 9 digs while setter
Amy Lindhorst had a team high 20 assists. Lesely Iron contributed 18 digs for Jewell on the afternoon.
The Cardinals return to action on Tuesday, October 28 at 7:00 p.m.as they host Rockhurst University.
