The William Jewell College men's soccer team and nationally ranked Quincy University ended their 110 minute match in a tie, 1-1, at Greene Stadium on Sunday afternoon in Great Lakes Valley Conference action. Quincy came into the contest ranked 10 and were undefeated. Jewell now stands at 2-6-3 overall and 1-4-3 in the GLVC. Quincy now stands 10-0-1 and 7-0-1 in GLVC action.

Trevor Pentola took a pass and scored from the top of the box at the 4:20 mark in the game. The Jewell defense held strong to take a 1-0 lead into the locker room.
With over one minute left in regulation the Hawks tied the contest on a goal by Jordan Roberts from the left wing.

Shane Van Hooser played all 110 minutes in the contest and recorded eight saves. Quincy had a 22-9 advantage in shots and a 9-4 lead in shots on goal.
Jewell returns to action Friday, October 10 as they travel to Evansville, Ind., to take on Southern Indiana. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
