#22 Lewis Flies Past Cards 94-73

Lewis University led from beginning to end against William Jewell in Great Lakes Valley Conference men's basketball play on Saturday, scoring a decisive 94-73 win in Romeosville, Illinois.

The Flyers (18-3, 10-3 GLVC) led by as many as 33 points late in the game, and shot 63% from the field.  They hit 13 three pointers in the game, and outscored Jewell (8-13, 4-9) 44-22 in the paint.  The Cardinals shot just 43% from the floor.

On a brighter note, Jordan Lewis was 6-7 from the floor, including 5-6 from beyond the arc, in leading the Cardinals with 19 points.  Kyle Smith and Cyril Bilong each scored 12, and Dwight Sistrunk, Jr. had six points with five rebounds, five assists, and four steals.  The Cardinals were 8-20 from three-point range, and hit 15-17 free throws.

Jewell returns home to face McKendree University Thursday night at 7:30 p.m.
