The William Jewell College women's tennis team suffered a tough 5-3 Great Lakes Valley Conference match at Rockhurst University on Wednesday afternoon. The Hawks improved to 4-3 and 1-0 in GLVC with the win, while the Cardinals fell to 4-5 and 0-2 in GLVC with the loss.

Lauren Huddlestun fell 8-5 at No. 3 doubles.Â
Drew earned a 6-3, 2-6, 6-3 win over Revling at No. 2 singles, while
Conner Hazelrigg pulled out a 7-6, 6-3 win at No. 5 singles. Rockhurst was able to clinch the dual win with wins at No. 3, No. 4 and No. 6 singles respectively. Stivers was leading her match at No. 1 singles before the match was called due to rain. Â
Jewell will look to bounce back Saturday, March 29 when it travels to Kirksville, Mo., for a GLVC tilt with Truman State University at 2:00 p.m.
