The William Jewell College women's tennis team suffered a 7-2 setback against University of Missouri-St. Louis in Great Lakes Valley Conference action on Saturday at Clayview Country Club. 

The Tritons who are ranked near the top of the conference this season, swept the doubles round with three wins and then captured four of the six singles spots.

A pair of the singles flights were three-setters with each team winning one.  Lauren Huddlestun earned a straight set win at No. 3 singles for Jewell 6-3, 6-3. Conner Hazelrigg remained undefeated in singles play with her three set victory at No. 5 singles.

Jewell dropped to 6-6 overall and 2-3 in league play with the loss while the Tritons improved to 12-5 overall and 4-1 in conference action.

The Cardinals will host Washburn University on Monday, April 7 at 3:00 p.m. at Clayview Country Club.
