The William Jewell College volleyball team lost in straight sets Friday night at Missouri S&T (25-20, 25-13, 25-20). Jewell dropped to 2-9 on the season and 1-4 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. S&T improved to 7-5 overall and 4-1 in league play.

Jewell was led by Kaylee Marquardt with 11 kills and 11 digs, the only Cardinal in double figures.  Amy Lindhorst recorded 29 assists and Marissa Brackman recorded seven digs. .

S&T was in charge at the net, leading in total kills 44-36 and total blocks 10-4. Jewell committed 16 attack errors.

The Cardinals continue their road trip with a Saturday afternoon match at Drury University at 3:00 p.m.
