Ericka Storvick found the back of the net from out with 6:21 remaining to lift the William Jewell College women's soccer team to a 1-0 win over University of Missouri-St. Louis on Sunday. The Cardinals improve to 3-1-3 overall and 3-1-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference on the young season.
UMSL dominated the stat sheet, outshooting the Cards 21-6 overall and 6-2 on goal. The Tritons also held a 9-2 edge in corner kicks.
Aspen Hawkins led Jewell with three shots on the afternoon.
Alex Dressman earned the win in goal, facing 21 shots with six saves.
The Cards will return home to face Rogers State University on Tuesday, September 30 at 2:00 p.m.
