Box Score The William Jewell College volleyball team opened their 2014 season with a tough loss to the University of Findlay on Thursday, September 4 in Liberty, Mo.
The game marked the coaching debut of
Carolyn Raynes who took over the helm back in April.
Cardinals rallied back from a 25-20 loss in the first set to back to back set wins 25-23, 25-23 only to drop the final two sets 25-23 and 15-12.
Libby Ording reported 14 kills, Â six block assists and a solo block. Â
Kaylee Marquardt chipped in 11 kills, 21 digs and one solo block. Â While
Lauren Holm contributed 10 kills and 18 digs. Â The libero,
Lesley Iron had 26 digs.
The Cardinals will travel to Kansas City to participate in the Rockhurst University Tournament on September 5 and 6.Â
