The William Jewell College baseball team (2-1) lost the final game of a weekend series at Southern Nazarene University (1-3) on Saturday afternoon 10-9.

The Cardinals held a 4-3 lead after plating three runs in the top of the fourth.  The Storm answered back with two runs in the fifth, and three in the sixth to take an 8-5.Â
Bryan Rezin tied things up for Jewell with a three-run home run in the top of the seventh.  Southern Nazarene answered back with a single run and took a 9-8 lead into the ninth. Jewell was able to send the game to extra innings 9-9 on a RBI walk from
Hunter Brown. After two quick outs in the bottom of the tenth the Riley Morrow reached on a single to shortstop and after stealing second base Gaige Webster put the game away with an RBI walk off double.Â

Nick Farleigh started his first game of the 2015 season, allowing four earned runs in five innings. Farleigh gave up six hits and one walk with two strikeouts.

Tim Miller (0-1) took the loss in relief pitching 2.2 innings giving up one earned run on three hits with three strikeouts.

Rezin finished 3-6 with four RBI's and three runs scored while
Jared Patton was 2-3 with two RBI's.Â

The Cardinals will travel to Arlington, Texas for a weekend series with Arlington Baptist College on February 27.Â
