The William Jewell College women's softball team earned a dominating 13-1 victory in game one against Lindenwood University, but dropped game two 5-4 on Tuesday, March 17 in St. Charles, Mo.
In game one, pitcher
Nona Pauline allowed six hits in five innings pitched and struck out three. Jewell scored all 13 runs in the first three innings.
Brooke Bernard led the team with 5 RBI's and Pauline helped her own cause by going 3-4 with an RBI and two runs scored.
In game two the Cardinals built a 4-1 lead only to see the Lions rally for four in the bottom of the seventh for a 5-4 walk off win.
Pauline was charged with the loss in relief.
Kelsey Morgan was 2-3 at the plate with an RBI and a run scored.
Jewell (9-5) heads to Jefferson City, Mo., to take on Lincoln University tomorrow at 1:00 p.m.
