The William Jewell College women's tennis team lost a tough 6-2 match to Bellarmine University on Thursday in Louisville, Kentucky. 

The Cardinals fall to 6-3 overall while the Knights improve to 7-0 on the season.

Jewell narrowly missed a golden opportunity to pull ahead 3-0 in doubles play.  Bellarmine ended up rallying for wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles 8-6 and 9-7 respectively.  Conner and Loree Hazelrigg pulled off their own comeback to win 9-8 at No. 2 doubles.

In singles play the Knights won at No. 1, No. 2, No. 4 and No. 5 singles to earn the victory.  Sabrine Navarro was Jewell's lone singles winner at No. 3.

The Cardinals will travel to St. Charles, Mo., to wrap up their Spring Break trip against Lindenwood University.  First serve is set for 10:00 a.m.
