Box Score The William Jewell College women's tennis team played their fourth straight match that came down to a 5-4 decision. Thanks to a strong performance in singles the Cardinals were able to come out on the winning end over Missouri Western State University on Tuesday in St. Joseph, Mo.
The Griffons came out of doubles play up 2-1 as the senior doubles team of Conner and
Loree Hazelrigg earned Jewell's only doubles point with a dominating 8-0 win at No. 2 doubles.
In singles play,
Savannah Drew,
Conner Hazelrigg,
Sabrine Navarro and
Claire Mackay each earned singles win to give the Cardinals the five wins they needed for the dual victory.
The Cardinals, 10-8 overall will close out the 2015 season on Saturday as they travel to Springfield, Mo., to take on nationally ranked Drury University at 1:00 p.m.
