The William Jewell College men's soccer team hosted the number 23 ranked Drury University in their 2015 Great Lakes Valley Conference opener on Friday night in Liberty, Mo.  The Panthers shutout the Cards by a score of 2-0.  Jewell falls to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in GLVC play.  Drury improves to 1-2 and 1-0 in the GLVC. 

At the 16:04 Drury got on the board first on a goal by Julien Chevy.  Drury dominated play in the half getting off 12 shots compared to Jewell's one.    Drury also got off four shots on goal in the first half. 

The Panthers would score the final goal of the game two minutes into the second half and was able to hang on for the shutout. 

Drury finished the night with a 29-5 shot advantage including 13-2 in shots on goal. 

The Cardinals will travel to Rolla, Mo., on Sunday, September 13 to take on Missouri S&T in GLVC action.  Kick-off is slated for 2:30 p.m.
