The William Jewell men's soccer team traveled to Claremore, Okla. today to take on the Hillcats of Rogers State University. The game ended in a 1-1 draw moving the Cardinals to 2-4-1 on the season.

Jewell's only goal would come off a back pass that went over the head of the Rogers State goalie just over five minutes into the contest.

Six minutes later the Hillcats Dylan Beaird scored his seventh goal of the season to pull RSU into a 1-1 tie where the game would remain the rest of the way. Each team got at least one shot off with less than five minutes to go in the second overtime period but both were saved by the opposing goal keeper.

Jordan Lindsay led Jewell with four shots, followed by Jordan Evans and Hunter Short, each with two. RSU outshot the Cardinals 29-11.

Joe Keeven totaled ten saves on the day to move to 2-4-1 on the year.

Next, the Cardinals jump back into Great Lakes Valley Conference play as they host Bellarmine University, Friday, September 25 at 7:30 p.m. followed by Southern Indiana on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
