The William Jewell College women's soccer team concluded their weekend home stand today against McKendree University in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.
Two second half goals from McKendree's Sydnee Carroll were enough to propel the Bearcats over the Cardinals 2-0. Jewell falls to 3-9-2 overall and 3-8-1 in the GLVC. The Bearcats improve to 11-4-0 overall and 8-4-0 in league play.
The Bearcats dominated possession in the first half and outshot the Cards 9-4 but Jewell was able to keep them out of the goal and both teams went into the locker room scoreless.
The game would remain scoreless until the 70th minute when McKendree's Sydnee Carroll scored her league high 14th goal of the season that put the Bearcats up 1-0.
Carroll would tack on another at the 87:07 mark to put the game out of reach for McKendree.
The Cards will be back at home Friday as they host Missouri S&T at 5:00 p.m.
