Elizabeth McQueen found the back of the net in the 109th minute of action for the William Jewell College women's soccer team during a dramatic, 1-0, double-overtime victory over host Southern Indiana on Friday evening.
McQueen's game-winner at 109:52 was her second goal of the season and
Aspen Hawkins was credited with the assist.
The Cardinals (2-7-2, 2-6-1 in GLVC) snapped a four game losing skid with the shutout.
Goalkeeper
Jordan Lewis posted her third shutout of the season by making five saves.
The Cardinals were outshot by the Screaming Eagles 16-14 but led 11-5 in shots on goal.
Jewell will be back in action on Sunday as they travel to Louisville, K.Y. to take on Bellarmine University at 12:00 p .m.
