Box Score The William Jewell College women's tennis team took a 7-2 non-conference victory over the University of Illinois-Springfield Prairie Stars on Friday afternoon at the Velasco Tennis Center in Springfield, Ill., and snapped a five-match losing streak.  Jewell improves to 5-7 overall while UIS sinks to 4-8.

The Cards led the Prairie Stars by a 2-1 score after doubles play and dominated the singles action by taking victories in five of the six singles positions.
