Kenan Selimovic's goal just before halftime proved to be the difference as host University of Missouri-St. Louis defeated William Jewell College 2-1 in Great Lakes Valley Conference men's soccer action Sunday afternoon.
With their fourth straight loss, the Cardinals fell to 2-5 overall, 2-4 in GLVC play. UMSL improved to 6-1-1 overall, 5-1-1 in league action.

The Tritons outshot the Cardinals 20-12, including an 11-8 margin in the first half.
Quinn Ruggeri collected five saves for Jewell, while GLVC Defensive Player of the Week Jack Filla stopped three shots for UMSL.
The Cardinals will travel to Searcy, Ark., on Tuesday to take on Harding University. Kick-off is set for 2:30 p.m.
