The William Jewell men's soccer team dropped their sixth straight match with a 3-1 loss to Truman State on Friday night at Greene Stadium. The Cardinals falls to 2-7 overall and 2-5 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play.
In the opening half Truman State jumped out to an early lead with two goals in the 21st and 27th minute to take a 2-0 lead at the half.
In the 57th minute junior
Jordan Lindsey scored his first goal of the season to get Jewell on the board and cut the lead in half. The Bulldogs responded with a goal in the 67th minute to push the margin to the final of 3-1.
The Cardinals were outshot 17-13 on the night led by freshman
Charlie Parrish with three. Lindsey and
Hunter Short each posted two. Goal keeper
Quinn Ruggeri collected three saves in 90 minutes of work.
