Two Cardinals scored career highs as William Jewell's women's basketball team pulled away from Avila University 74-59 Monday afternoon at the Mabee Center.
The game was rescheduled from December and wraps up William Jewell's non-conference schedule as they improve to 7-7 overall.
The game was tied 53-53 before Jewell went on a run to close out the game. Jewell also used clutch free-throw shooting at the end to close the deal.
Maddie Nelson led the Cards with 22 while junior
Lindsey McCoy scored a career high 16 and sophomore
Kayla Harrell scored a career high 13 for Jewell.
The Cardinals resume Great Lakes Valley Conference play when they travel to Springfield, Mo., on Thursday to take on Drury University at 5:30 p.m.
