Box Score The William Jewell College men's basketball team managed to shoot only 28% from the field in the second half in a 77-53 road loss at Drury on Thursday night in Springfield, Mo.
Jewell was led by junior guard
Patrick Whelan, as he scored a team-high 13 points. Fellow junior
Emil Ostafiiciuc led the Cards on the boards by securing a team high six rebounds to go along with eight points.
The Panthers had four players score in double figures, led by Tevin Foster's game-high 15 points. Cameron Ricks contributed 14 points while teammates Joshua Palmer and John Williams had 11 and 10 points, respectively.
The loss drops Jewell to 4-11 overall and 0-7 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play while Drury improves to 12-4 overall and 5-3 in league play.
The Cardinals will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Rolla, Mo., to take on Missouri S&T. Tip-off is slated for 5:00 p.m.
