Box Score The William Jewell volleyball team dropped a three set match to No. 18 Central Missouri on the road on Tuesday evening, by scores of 22-25, 16-25, 17-25. With the loss the Cardinals fall to 8-14 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- SET ONE: The Cardinals held their own against the No. 18 ranked team in the country in the opening set pulling within one at 22-21. The Jennies however, responded by scoring three of the next four points to slip by in the first set 25-22.
- SET TWO: The second frame was all Central Missouri as the Jennies jumped out to a 14-5 advantage. The Cardinals went on a 6-1 run behind three kills from Stefanie Richterkessing to pull as close as 15-11 before UCM closed the set on a 11-5 run of their own.
- SET THREE: In the finale, Jewell fell behind by as many as nine before dropping the set 25-17.
