The William Jewell women's basketball team opened up a double-digit lead in the first half against UW-Parkside and never looked back as they downed the Rangers 89-65 on Saturday afternoon in the Mabee Center. The win takes the Cardinals to 9-11 overall and 5-7 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play.
The Cardinals used a 22-6 run during the second quarter to open a 26 point advantage, capped by a

Butler capped the third quarter as well, hitting a layup just before the buzzer to push the Jewell lead to a game-high 39 to start the final period. The Rangers took advantage of multiple turnovers late in the fourth quarter to pull within 23 but the Cardinals proved to be too much as they cruised to the 24 point win.
Kayla Harrell posted her first double-double of the season with a game-high 18 points and ten rebounds.
Maddie Nelson and
Katie Finn followed with 15 points a piece, with Nelson also collecting seven rebounds and five assists while Finn added six assists. Butler chipped in 11 points while
