The William Jewell men's soccer team dropped to 0-2 on the season and in Great Lakes Valley Conference play after dropping a 4-1 decision to Lewis University on Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• 21:49 - Nico Mueller put Lewis on top early, scoring off the assist from Timm Adler on a free kick.
• 32:55 - John Horstman converted the penalty kick opportunity to make it 2-0 Flyers. 
• 34:45 - Horstman again used a penalty kick to extend the Lewis lead to 3-0. 
• 56:55 - Freshman Noah Espinosa scored the first goal of the season for the Cardinals on an assist from Chris Cotton to put Jewell on the board.
• 57:45 - The Flyers immediately responded with a goal from Juan Elizalde to push the score to the final of 4-1. 
   

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• The Cardinals struggled offensively being out shot 14-2 with shots from Espinosa and Drew Dempsey. 
   

IN GOAL

• Goalie Quinn Ruggeri suffered his first loss of the season, while grabbing four saves.
