The William Jewell women's soccer team continued their hot start to 2017 with a 1-0 win over Lewis University on Sunday afternoon at Greene Stadium. With the win Jewell moves to 3-0 on the season and 2-0 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• 76' – Annalee Arbeitman scored her first career goal from the top of the box to put Jewell on top 1-0.
   

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• The Cardinals out shot the Flyers 14-11 overall with eight being on goal.
   

LEADERS OF THE FLIGHT

• Junior Emma Baldridge posted three shots to lead the Cardinals.
• Arbeitman, Aspen Hawkins, and Alyson Galler each grabbed two shots.
   

IN GOAL

• Senior goalie Jordan Lewis moved to 3-0 on the season with her third consecutive shut out.
   

YOU SHOULD NOTE

• This is the first time Jewell has started the season 3-0 since 2013.
• 2013 is also the last time the Cards started GLVC play 2-0.
• The Cardinals have yet to allow a goal by an opponent in 2017.
