The William Jewell women's soccer team recorded their fourth straight shutout to start the 2017 season with a 1-0 win over Southwest Baptist University on Tuesday evening in Bolivar, Mo. With the win Jewell moves to 4-0 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• 34:27 Mackenzie Giegling scored her first goal of the season when she headed home a corner kick from Haley White to put Jewell on top 1-0.
   

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• The Cardinals out shot the Bearcats overall 15-3 with 9 being on goal.
   

LEADERS OF THE FLIGHT

• Alyson Galler posted four shots to lead the Cardinals.
• Bella Catano, Kayla Crowder and Madilyn Payne each grabbed two shots.
   

IN GOAL

• Senior goalie Jordan Lewis, coming off her Great Lakes Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week honor, moved to 4-0 on the season with her fourth consecutive shut out.
   

YOU SHOULD NOTE

• This is the first time Jewell has started the season 4-0 since 2013.
• This is the first time since joining the NCAA the Cardinals have opened with four straight shutouts.
