Senior goalkeeper Jordan Lewis has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon. This is the first such honor for any Cardinal soccer player since joining the GLVC in 2011. 

Lewis moved to 3-0 on the season and 2-0 in GLVC play this weekend as she posted back-to-back shutouts of Illinois Springfield and Lewis University. She posted ten saves, five in each contest while facing 19 shots, and appearing in all 180 minutes of play. 

The senior has yet to allow a goal through three games this season and boasts nine career shutouts.
