The William Jewell women's soccer team defeated Drury University 1-0 this afternoon in Great Lakes Valley Conference action in Springfield, Mo.  With the win Jewell moves to 5-3 overall and 3-2 in GLVC play. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• 64:34 –Aspen Hawkins scored her second goal of the season from 8 yards out that produced the winning 1-0 score.
   

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• The Cardinals out shot the Panthers 25-12 and led 9-7 in shots on goal.   

LEADERS OF THE FLIGHT

• Alyson Galler had a game high 8 shots with four on goal.  She also had the assist on the game winning goal to Hawkins.
   

IN GOAL

• Senior goalie Jordan Lewis moved to 5-3 on the season with her fifth shut-out.  She also recorded 7 saves.

YOU SHOULD NOTE

• All five wins this season for the Cardinals have come via shut out.
