The William Jewell women's soccer team hosted Missouri S&T this afternoon in Great Lakes Valley Conference action at Greene Stadium. First-year player
Kayla Crowder scored her first two career goals to lead the Cardinals to a 3-0 victory. With the win Jewell moves to 6-3 overall and 4-2 in GLVC play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- 38:13 Crowder scored the first of her two goals from 5 yards out off an assist from Lexy Hawkins.
- 58:29 Crowder scored off a pass from Bella Catano that put Jewell up 2-0.
- Shalynn Thomas scored her first goal of the season for Jewell that produced the winning 3-0 score.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- The Cardinals out shot the Miners 19-9 and led 8-4 in shots on goal.
LEADERS OF THE FLIGHT
- Alyson Galler had a game high four shots while Crowder and Catano each finished with three.
IN GOAL
- Senior goalie Jordan Lewis moved to 6-3 on the season with her sixth shut-out. She also recorded 4 saves.
