The William Jewell men's soccer team battled the elements in a 2-0 loss at Illinois Springfield on Sunday afternoon. The contest was made final after 70 minutes of play due to lightning in the area. The teams also sat through a delay of more than an hour in the first half. With the loss, the Cardinals fall to 4-8 overall and 1-7 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play.
