Box Score The William Jewell College women's tennis team was blanked 9-0 by University of Illinois-Springfield on Sunday in Springfield, Ill. 
 
How It Happened
The Prairie Stars swept all three doubles matches with the closest score occurring at No. 3 doubles where Whitney Holloman and her partner Morgan Holopirek were edged 8-6.

UIS took the first three singles positions rather handedly before Jewell made the final three matches close.  Holloman fell in three sets at No. 4 while first-year player Julia Yamate lost 6-4, 6-4 at No. 5.  Holopirek also lost a tough three set match at No. 6 after winning her first set. 

What's Next
The Cardinals will return to the friendly confines of Clayview Country Club on Saturday when they host McKendree University.  First serve is set for 2:00 p.m.
