Box Score The William Jewell College women's tennis team fell 8-1 to Northwest Missouri State on Tuesday afternoon in Maryville, Mo. 
 
How It Happened
Northwest took the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles matches rather handily before the No.1 tandem of senior Claire Mackay and junior Becca Richison held on for an 8-6 win.      

The Bearcats then swept all six singles matches in straight sets to earn the dual victory.

The Cardinals return home to host William Woods University on Friday.  First-serve is set for 2:00 p.m. at Clayview Country Club.
