Box Score The William Jewell College women's tennis team bested the Tabor College Blue Jays by a score of 8-1 this afternoon in Hillsboro, Kan. The Cardinals earn their third win of the season while Tabor loses their fourth.

The Cardinals opened up the dual with a strong start in doubles. The No. 1 tandem of
Claire Mackay and
Becca Richison won 8-3 followed by an 8-2 win by first-year players
Morgan Holopirek and
Julia Yamate at No. 2. Juniors
Whitney Holloman and
Hannah Waine won 8-5 to put Jewell up 3-0.
The Cards won five of the six singles matches as Richison pulled out a tight three set match at No. 2 while Yamate also won a three set battle at No. 5. Waine, Holloman and Holopirek won in dominating fashion in straight sets.
What's Next
The Cardinals travel to Siloam Springs, Ark., on Monday to take on John Brown. First serve is set for 1:00 p.m.
