The William Jewell College men's tennis team resumed their match with Baker University today at William Jewell College. The match was postponed last Wednesday due to rain in Baldwin City, Kan. The Cards got by the Wildcats 6-3 to earn their third win of the season.
How It Happened
The Cards came out of doubles play up 3-0 as
Bjorn Myers and
Cutter Sanders led the way with an 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles.
Thiago Braga and
Hayden Fulk scored an 8-6 win at No. 2 while
Brian Wohlers and Marco Martinez won their match at No. 3 doubles by default.
Myers won his No. 1 singles match in straight sets 6-2, 6-4 and Wohlers and Martinez won their matches at No. 5 and No. 6 by default.
What's Next
The Cardinals will resume Great Lakes Valley Conference play tomorrow when they travel to Springfield, Mo., to take on Drury University. First-serve is set for 11:40 a.m.
