The William Jewell men's soccer team got two goals in the second half from Cody Benedict to earn their first win of the season over Southern Indiana and move to 1-8-1 on the year. 

How it Happened

• USI's Eric Ramirez put the Screaming Eagles on top early with a goal off a corner kick in the 15th minute. 
• Benedict scored his first goal of the night in the 61st minute to knot the score. 
• With just 17 seconds remaining Donnie Lee found Benedict in the box to score the game-winner. 

For the Cardinals

• Benedict led the Cardinals with four shots while Logan Horn added three. 
• Jose Cambreros finished with six saves. 

For the Screaming Eagles

• Ramirez led USI with a game-high seven shots, with five on goal. 
• Keeper Caden McCullough collected two saves.
