The William Jewell women's soccer team suffered a 1-0 loss to Southern Indiana on Friday night. The loss drops the Cardinals to 2-8-1 overall and 2-6 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. 

How it Happened

• The Screaming Eagles' Taylor McCormick scored a goal in the 86th minute off a feed from Madelyne Juenger. 

For the Cardinals

• Kayla Crowder got off four shots to lead the team while Gracie Schweinfurth and Allison Malott added three each. 
• Kaylie Kappelmann posted a career-high 12 saves. 

For the Screaming Eagles

• USI totaled 23 shots to Jewell's 16 with 13 on goal. 
• Maggie Winter finished with four shots to lead the Eagles with three others chipping in three. 
• Keeper Maya Etienne had seven saves.
