The William Jewell women's soccer team fell by a final of 2-0 on Friday night to Illinois Springfield. The Cardinals drop to 3-11-1 overall and 3-9 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play. 

How it Happened

• The Stars' Maggie Juhlin used a perfect corner kick to head the ball into the back of the net in the 24th minute to put UIS on top. 
• Amanda Meyer added some insurance in the 65th minute from 12 yards out. 

For the Cardinals

• Jewell finished with six shots led by one on goal each from Bella Catano and Lexy Hawkins. 
• Kaylie Kappelmann finished with six saves while Katie Wagenheim added one. 

For the Prairie Stars

• Juhlin and Meyer led UIS with two shots on goal a piece. 
• The Stars outshot the Cardinals 24-6 overall. 
• Hailey Collins collected two saves.
