Lewis University scored three first half goals to down the William Jewell women's soccer team on Sunday afternoon in the home finale. The Cardinals fall to 3-12-1 on the season and 3-10 in Great Lakes Valley Conference action. 

How it Happened

• The Flyers took the lead on a goal by Christine Szymanski in the 18th minute, followed quickly by Kailey Parnello's score five minutes later. 
• Karlie Cummins added a tally in the 31st minute. 

For the Cardinals

• Kayla Crowder finished with four shots to lead the Cardinals. Bella Catano and Olivia Chalabi each finished with one shot on goal. 
• In goal, sophomore Kaylie Kappelmann collected nine saves to push her season total to 119. This makes her the single season leader in the NCAA era, surpassing Jordan Lewis' 118 in 2017. 

For the Flyers

• Szymanski and Cali Havelka-Vanderplow finished with a game-high three shots on goal. 
• Parnello, Miranda Nirchi, and Alissa Waits each tallied an assist.
