The William Jewell men's soccer team fell by a final score of 2-0 on Friday night to Illinois Springfield. The loss drops the Cardinals to 1-11-2 on the season and 1-9-2 in Great Lakes Valley Conference action. 

How it Happened

• Quentin Reese gave the Stars an early lead with a goal in the sixth minute. 
• UIS added an additional in score just before the 62nd minute by Javier Milla from 18 yards out to push the lead to two. 

For the Cardinals

• Jewell totaled 11 shots, but only two on goal, those coming from Carson Lee and Griffin King. 
• Jayden Hicks posted two saves. 

For the Prairie Stars

• UIS collected 12 shots as a team with four on goal. 
• Mario Falsone, Evan Paoni, and Alex Morais each had one assist.
• Keeper Pijus Petkevicius had two saves.
