The William Jewell men's soccer team gave Lewis a challenge, but an early goal downed the Cardinals 1-0 on Sunday afternoon in Greene Stadium. The loss drops Jewell to 1-12-2 on the year and 1-10-2 in league action. 

How it Happened

• Jayson Iniguiez put Lewis on top early with a goal from nine yards out in the seventh minute. 

For the Cardinals

• The Cardinals posted six shots on goal led by Noah Espinosa's three. 
• Freshman Jayden Hicks collected five saves. 

For the Flyers

• Iniguez led all players with four shots on goal. 
• Matt Budreck and Aris Oluwatuyi were credited with the assits. 
• Keeper C.J. Couper finished with five stops.
