The William Jewell women's soccer team dropped a Great Lakes Valley Conference contest at Missouri S&T on Friday night by a final score of 1-0. The Cardinals fall to 1-7-1 overall and 1-5 in GLVC action. 

How it Happened

• The Miners broke the ice early in the second half with a goal off a throw in fro 15 yards out in the 49th minute. 

For the Cardinals

• Kayla Crowder lead the Cardinals with four shots while Allison Malott, Gracie Schweinfurth, and Lexy Hawkins each had three. 
• Kaylie Kappelmann finished with seven saves. 

For the Miners

• Kayla Foster posted a game-high nine shots with Courtney Pyrtle adding six. 
• Missouri S&T finished with 25 shots to the Cardinals 13. 
• Kristin Steins totaled five saves in the win.
