For the second time in as many tries
Kiara Bradley posted a career-high against Lincoln University as she posted 36 points on Sunday to lead William Jewell to a 87-72 win. The Cardinals move 3-2 on the season with the win.
How it Happened
- Jewell jumped out to an early 20-8 lead in the opening quarter behind 14 combined points from Bradley and Rachel Schon. Lincoln pulled with five, but Lea Finn converted a traditional three-point play to close the frame.
- The Cardinals led by as many as 11 in the second quarter before the Blue Tigers closed the half on a 17-4 run to hold a 40-37 advantage at the break.
- Jewell outscored the Blue Tigers 29-7 in the third quarter, led by 10 points from Bradley to open their biggest lead of the day at 66-47.
- Lincoln cut the lead to single digits with just over 90 seconds remaining but the Cardinals converted 6-of-9 free throws to secure the win.
For the Cardinals
- Bradley led all scorers with 36 points, the most for any Cardinal in the NCAA era, surpassing Chelsea Meeks' 34 against Bellarmine in 2013. The junior also collected six rebounds, five steals, and three assists.
- Sydney Offield added 13 points, four rebounds, and a career-high six steals.
- Finn chipped in 12 points while Ainsley Tolson finished with a game-high six assists.
For the Blue Tigers
- Kaloni Pryear led Lincoln with 21 points while Natasha Dolinsky added 13. Both players each swiped three steals.
- The Blue Tigers outscored Jewell in the paint 48-38.
