The William Jewell men's basketball team wrapped up the 2018-19 season on Saturday with a 92-73 loss at Drury. The Cardinals finish the year with an overall record of 12-18 and 6-12 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• 1st Half: The Cardinals fell into an early 8-0 hole but quickly climbed back keyed by two pull up threes from Byron Harp to tie the game at 10 just under five minutes in. Jewell again fell behind by four but but three pointers from Harp and Pharroh Gordon combined with a bucket by Keith Hayes and the Cardinals turned a four point deficit into a three point lead. The Panthers responded by closing the half on a 12-0 run to take a 47-38 advantage into the break. 
• 2nd Half: Drury's lead grew to as large as 21 midway through the second half before an old fashioned three point play from Hayes and a three by Garrett Skipworth closed the gap to 12 with 5:20 to play. The Panthers used a a back-to-back scores to push the lead back to the final of 19. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• The Cardinals shot 46 percent from the floor but just 39 percent from the free throw line. 
• Drury connected on 54 percent of shots including 48 percent from behind the three point line.
