The William Jewell softball team dropped both ends of a Great Lakes Valley Conference doubleheader at Maryville University by scores of 4-1 and 2-0. The Cardinals fall to 21-19 and 8-12 in league play. 

GAME ONE 
Maryville 4, Jewell 1

HOW IT HAPPENED

• B1: Maryville gained an early lead with a two-out double to left by Brie Livingston. (1-0, MU)
• T2: The Cardinals immediately responded as Lindsay Glynn reached base on an error allowing Ashlyn Sutton to cross the plate and tie the game. (1-1)
• B3: The Saints got another RBI double, this time scoring two runs to retake the lead. (3-1, MU)
• B6: A solo home run from Samantha Hausl expanded the lead to the final of three. (4-1, MU)

• Win: Olivia Jarvis (14-10) earned the win, tossing a complete game and striking out seven. 
• Loss: Greenstreet (8-3) took the loss, allowing four earned runs on six hits.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• B5: The only runs of the nightcap game in the fifth inning as Hannah Tolley doubled down the left field line to score two. (2-0, MU)

• Win: Alyssa Callans (11-6) got the shutout win after allowing just three hits. 
• Loss: Biondo suffered the loss, allowing two earned runs.
