The William Jewell women's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw to open the 2019 season on the road at Upper Iowa. 

How it Happened

• The Ichabods scored three goals in a matter of nine minutes in the opening half to take a commanding 3-0 lead. 
   

For the Cardinals

• The Cardinals struggled offensively with just five total shots by five different players.
• Katie Wagenheim earned her first career start and recorded seven saves before Kaylie Kappelmann grabbed two more in the second half.  

For the Ichabods

• Washburn outshot the Cardinals 19-5, including 13 shots on goal.
• Josie Rimmer led the Ichabods with five shots and four on goale.
• Tera Lynch assisted on two of Washburn's three goals.
