The William Jewell women's soccer team dropped a Great Lakes Valley Conference match up at home on Sunday as they fell 3-2 in the final seconds to Truman State. The loss drops the Cardinals to 0-5-1 overall and 0-3 in GLVC play. 

How it Happened

• Olivia Chalabi scored her first career goal in the 41st minute after taking a rebound back in from five yards out. 
• Truman got a goal from Isabel Kurzban followed by a penalty kick goal to take a 2-1 lead after 52 minutes of play. 
• Junior Lexy Hawkins knotted the score at two in the 57th minute with a score off a free kick from 45 yards. 
• Truman's Anna Meyer slipped one past the Jewell keeper in the with just 42 seconds on the clock to lift the Bulldogs to the win.  

For the Cardinals

• The Cardinals outshot Truman 24-20 with 11 shots on goal. 
• Gracie Schweinfurth finished with a career-best seven shots with three on goal to lead Jewell. Hawkins and Kayla Crowder added four shots each. 
• Kaylie Kappelmann posted a season-high nine saves.

For the Bulldogs

• Meyer, Burke, Paige Peterson, and Hanna Hickey all had three shots for the Bulldogs. 
• Beth Hopwood had eight saves for the Bulldogs.
